Prophet, born Joshua Raphael McCadney, is a special creative from St. Louis, MO. Most known for his awing portraits and unique fashion, the St. Louis native’s talent extends far beyond canvases and streetwear. Choosing to live outside the limitations placed on artists, Prophet has excelled in all forums of creativity. He’s fulfilled the role of Lead Designer for several successful fashion brands; done graphic design work for many artists, organizations and businesses; painted murals, and created niche paintings.
In 2017, Prophet relocated to Los Angeles, California – where he currently resides- to make an imprint in the city’s burgeoning fashion and art scene.
Since Prophet’s arrival in L.A. his career has been on an upward trajectory. His innovative style has been recognized by several stylists affording him opportunities to work with a multitude of public figures. Prophet’s clothing creations have been featured on several celebrities like: Nick Cannon, Rae Sremmurd, Keyshia Cole and King Los. He has also created items for the Nickelodeon network and the television shows Black-ish and Grown-ish.
Prophet’s artwork has also been noticed by the socially elite. His vivacious color patterns and life-like portraits have set him apart from his peers. He’s created custom artwork for Bernice Burgos, Snoop Dogg, Master P, Trumaine Johnson, and Blueface to name a few. And his creations have been featured in numerous art shows including Art Basel 2019 in Miami. An example of Prophet’s astonishing artwork can be seen on the outside wall of Sorella Boutique on Melrose where his Kobe Bryant mural has made local news and garnered a large social media buzz.
You’ll be hard pressed to find a person alive that can walk the runway, design and create the clothes for the models, create and paint the walls in the venue – that’s Prophet! A creative that inspires the creatives.
